The course provides ample time for students to collaborate with their peers to script, edit, revise, and record podcasts, short-form videos, or written interview transcripts for their final portfolio projects.

Sustainable Fashion Design Lab

The fashion industry is responsible for 10 percent of the world’s carbon emissions. By 2050, more than 25 percent of the entire global carbon budget will go to this one industry. Many international fashion brands are addressing these questions, and Brooklyn has several local designers who are leading this welcome trend. This Lab will explore sustainable fashion initiatives, visit local designers, and support young designers as they make their own sustainable clothing and develop marketing and social impact plans for getting their designs out in the world.

When: June 22 - July 31, Monday - Thursday (4-half-day classes per week)
Grades 7-10: 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm EST
Cost: This is a pay-as-you-wish pilot course
Enrollment Limit: 20 students
