Efrat Kussell (she/her)
Lead Advisor, Professional Development & Curriculum

Efrat joined MeshEd in 2022 and currently serves as Director of Professional Development . She supports the MeshEd team as well as all MeshEd partners in deepening their understanding of the MeshEd Labs, Data-Informed Instruction, and High-Quality Project-Based Learning. Prior to joining the MeshEd team, Efrat was a teacher and administrator in Cambridge, MA and Brooklyn, NY at schools whose models were designed around student-centered learning. Most recently, she led an expeditionary learning middle school in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, whose focus was on educational equity for all students through a culturally responsive lens and implementation of the EL Education model. In addition to her work at MeshEd, Efrat is an educational consultant in Brooklyn and continues to teach writing to high school juniors and seniors.

Efrat graduated from Harvard College with a BA in Visual and Environmental Studies and holds a Masters in Teaching from Brandeis University.
